Early voting to begin

Early voting for the July 11th presidential primary elections will be held for two full weeks, beginning June 30th, according to Registrar of Voters Angie Sandifer.

This election was first scheduled for April 4, and then moved to June 20 because of the shutdown due to COVID-19, and finally moved to July 11th, as the lockdown continued.

Also in connection with the virus outbreak, early voting for this election will be held for two full weeks, beginning June 20, and extending through Saturday, July 4. Ballots can be cast at the Registrar of Voters Office in Jena during this period, from 8:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. daily, except for Sundays.

Registrar of Voters Angie Sandifer reminded voters of LaSalle Parish that during the presidential primary, they can only vote along party lines – Democrat voters can only vote for the Democratic candidates, and Republicans can only vote for Republicans. Independents and no party voters cannot vote in this election.
