Subscription campaign for The Jena Times

For the first time in several years, The Jena Times has launched a subscription campaign offering citizens of the parish a great deal on receiving a copy of the newspaper in their mailboxes every Wednesday morning, Editor-Publisher Sammy J. Franklin announced.

If a reader purchased The Jena Times on the newsstand each week for $1 each, that amounts to $52 for the year. For a limited time, the Times is offering the paper by mail for half that price - $26 per year. (See full page advertisement in this issue for more details.)

For centuries, local newspapers have served as the voice for the public good and as a powerful connection between citizens and the communities around them.

In this digital age, the newspaper audience has never been greater, with many reading in print, online or via mobile. No matter the medium, readers rely on their local newspaper to keep them informed of local events.
