COVID-19 disappearing in LaSalle

Figures released this week from the LaSalle Parish Homeland Security Office are indicating COVID-19 cases are disappearing from the parish.

The office is reporting that the state’s released data show LaSalle Parish had only 19 new positives cases during the last two weeks.

The figures show a trend that’s been occurring since a spike in cases earlier in August. At one point, LaSalle had 106 new positive cases of COVID during the two-week reporting cycle.
