Football is finally back as the Jena Giants traveled to Vidalia this past Friday to take on the Vikings in a scrimmage. It has been a long wait for the team but their patience finally paid off when the LHSAA announced that there would be an 8 week regular season starting this Friday night.

The Giants were able to play a scrimmage this past Friday in order to fine tune and find out what needs to be worked on before the first official game. The Giants played very well as they scored 5 times and did not allow the Vikings to score at all.

Senior quarterback Jordan Jackson played well as he had numerous long runs and com-pleted passes to 4 different receivers including new tight end senior Logan Brown. Running backs Brennan Deville and Brandon Williams had a couple of long runs.
