Husbands of nurses have it hard

It has happened to me on multiple occasions. I’ll be somewhere, anywhere, and someone will come up to me and express their appreciation for the job my wife did while she worked her shift as a nurse.

Whether it was the treatment they themselves received or for a loved one, I’m amazed at how they describe the care, love, patience, and sympathy that my wife displayed while providing medical attention.

“She was so patient with my mother,” one said. Another noted: “She took the time to stay with my dad during the entire procedure.” And then there was this one: “I wish all the nurses really cared like your wife and understood the pain we were all going through. She is so special.”

Then it hits me. My “special” wife has a multiple personality syndrome.
