Where you live really matters
Location matters – enormously. If you’re poor and live in Louisiana, it’s better to be in LaSalle Parish than in East Carroll Parish or Orleans Parish. Not only that, the younger you are when you move to La- Salle, the better you will do on average. Children who move at earlier ages are less likely to become single parents, more likely to go to college and more likely to earn more.
LaSalle Parish School System Secondary Supervisor Tish Taylor, who found the information through an online source, recently discovered these 2015 findings and was quite pleased with the study’s results.
