Howard Leon Lincecum, 83, of Georgetown, passed from this life on Friday, January 10, 2014. He was born Wednesday, August 27, 1930, to the union of his parents, George Dee and Ethel Lincecum. Services were held at 2
p.m., Sunday, Jan. 12, at Lincecum Baptist Church of Georgetown with the Revs. Allen Hatten and Scott Tilton officiating. Interment followed in the Lincecum Cemetery of Georgetown under direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kathleen Harrison Lincecum; and siblings, Perry Lincecum, Charlie Lincecum, and Estelle Alwhite. Survivors include his daughter, Dewana Lincecum

Judith “Nell” Billings Russell, 80, passed from this life on Thursday, Janaury 9, 2014, at Riverside Hospital in Alexandria. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, spending time with her family, decorating her home and loved Christmas time. Earl Reeves, 86, of Belah, passed from this life on Monday, December 30, 2013, at the LaSalle General Hospital of Jena. He was born May 31, 1927 in Jena to the union of his parents, Tom Earl and Mattie Roark Reeves.
Mr. Reeves was a retired lineman for Concordia Electric Cooperative and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Belah. Services were held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 1, in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena with Rev. Rick Feazell officiating. Lila Lee Roark, 80, of Olla, passed from this life on Tuesday, December 31, 2013, at LaSalle General Hospital of Jena. She was born September 24, 1933 in Jena to the union of her parents, Elias Poole and Hattie Poole.
Mrs. Roark was a custodian for Jena Junior High School in Jena. Services were held at 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 3, at Antioch Free Methodist Church with Rev. Glen Roark officiating. Interment followed in the Antioch Free Methodist

Katherine Jean Franklin Ellerbe

Katherine Jean Franklin Ellerbe, 71, of Columbia, passed from this life on Friday, January 3, 2014, at the Haven Nursing Center in Columbia Heights, following an extended illness. She was born March 22, 1943 in Monroe to the union of her parents, Charlie Bruce and Alice Lucy Wall Franklin. Katherine was a 1961 graduate of Columbia High School and went on to further her education at Northeast Louisiana State University (now University of Louisiana at Monroe), obtaining her degree in accounting. During her senior year at Columbia High School, she was honored to represent Louisiana at the national FBLA spelling bee in Washington, D.C., which she won

Frank W. Kircher

Frank W. Kircher, II, 65, of Jena, passed from this life on Sunday, January 5, 2014, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, PCU, in Pineville. Frank was an avid gardener and always shared what he grew with family and friends. He loved to fish and cook for everyone who came by to visit him. During his working years, he was employed in the oil fields, offshore boats, Proctor and Gamble, and his last job was janitor at Jena High School.
Frank was a quiet, easy going person who was loved by everyone he met and those he knew. His family and friends will miss him so very much. Services will be at 10 a.m.,  Wednesday, January 8, at the Fellowship Chapel, 506 Hwy 1204, in Ball, with Rev. Ben Waites officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery of Colfax under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Alexandria. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie L.
