Charles R. Savoie

Charles R. Savoie, 73, of Picayune, Mississippi, passed from this life on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at his home. He was born May 22, 1940 to the union of Arthur “Bobbie” Savoie and Myrtle Mitchell Savoie of Lake Charles. Charles served in the United States Navy from 1958 to 1962. He was a truck driver for 45 years, and was a member of the Nazarene Church. He will be missed and remembered by all who knew him. Memorial services will be held at Pearl River at a later date. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy M. Savoie of Picayune; two sons, Kevin Savoie and Shaun Savoie, both of Slidell; one daughter, Tina Herrington of Pearl River; two brothers, Billy W. Savoie of Jena and Bobbie G. Savoie of Gulfport, MS; one sister, Donna S. Brown of Jena; several nieces, nephews and grandchildren, along with a host of friends and other relatives.

Henry Bell

Henry Bell, 78, of Jena, passed from this life on Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at his residence. He was a laborer, a member of the Baptist faith, and a veteran of the U.S. military. Services were held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 7, at the Mars Hill Baptist Church of Jena with Bishop B. L. Moran officiating. Interment followed in the New Mount Olive Cemetery of Jonesville under direction of Gayden Funeral Home of Jena. Survivors include a brother, Willie Bell of Jena, and a sister, Hazel Thomas of Los Angeles, CA.

Roy Vickery Kincaid, Jr.

Roy Vickery Kincaid, Jr., 87, of Dallas, Texas, passed from this life on Thursday, October 24, 2013, in Dallas. He was born Friday, May 28, 1926 in Ft. Worth, Texas, to the union of Roy Kincaid, Sr. and Sue L. Brown Kincaid. Graveside services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 2, in the Nebo Cemetery with Rev. Tony Wilson officiating. Interment followed under direction of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Margaret Hinson Kincaid; one son, Vickery Drew Kincaid; two granddaughters, Angela Lashbrook and husband Michael and Amber Kincaid; one great grandson, Jason Lashbrook; and one great granddaughter, Elizabeth Lashbrook.
