The Jena Giants come into this season with some high expectations and they have not disappointed the last couple of weeks with a win in the LaSalle Jamboree and a win at the Franklin Parish scrimmage.

The Giants would get a test from an old rival to start the regular season as they would have to travel to Winnfield in their first regular season game. The rivalry between these two teams is one of the oldest rivalries in the Cenla area. Winnfield has dominated this rivalry for years but the Giants have been the dominant team the last couple of seasons.
