The Jena Giants came into this season with one of their most talented teams in school history. With all the talent on the team the Giants made their schedule a little tougher to test themselves and to get ready for the playoffs. The first test of the young season would be at Rayville.

The Rayville Hornets come into this season with a talented team themselves as they have 17 seniors on their team and return most of their starters from last season in which they went to the quarterfinals of the class 2A state playoffs. With all of the talent on the field this was sure to be a good game.
