The Good Pine Middle School Archery Team won first place in the Elementary Division out of 16 other elementary school teams at the ALAS South Regional Tournament in Alexandria on January 20. GPMS shot a score of 2,918 with 74 - 10’s (bullseyes), surpassing their 2,725 score at nationals earlier this year.

This is only the second year for GPMS to participate in the ALAS program. The first place team members include: front row (left to right) Seth Andrews, Preston Overstreet, James Neal, Isaiah Todd, Cale Parker and Keegan Roark; second row (l to r) Walker McClure, Jaxon Smith, Jacob King, Andrew Stephens, Cutler Coleman, Sophie Parker, Kaylea Boone, Emily Calk, Hannah Stapleton and Lynzee Bowie; third row (l to r) Kolton Bradford, Tyresse Brown, Zachary Scales, Colten Sharp, Ethan Harris, Jahazya Wilson, Markaya Byrd and Keira Chevallier and back row (l to r) Coaches Tammy Guinn, Stacy Skinner and Sara Helams. The team will compete at the ALAS State Tournament in Shreveport on Saturday, March 3.
