Delmer Cockerham, maintenance supervisor for the Jena Town Park, and Jena Mayor LaDawn Edwards pose for a picture with the town’s newest addition of equipment. Mayor Edwards said over the years the park has expanded and covers a lot of space that has to be mowed and maintained and a larger, faster mower was needed for the work.

“Delmer does an outstanding job in keeping the park area beautiful and this larger zero-turn mower will allow him to do the work with greater speed. It is something that has been needed for work in the park for a long time, and we are glad to be able to furnish him this piece of equipment.” The heavy-duty commercial Kubota zero-turn mower was purchased under the state bid contract, with funding for the purchase being included in this year’s town budget.
