Allen Kendrick

William Allen Kendrick, Jr., 56, of Jena passed from this life Thursday, May 24, 2018 in an accident in Pineville. He was born September 8, 1961 in Jena to the union of his parents, William Allen Kendrick, Sr. and Helen Bliss Clancy Kendrick. Allen served in the United States Marine Corps as a Bandsman, worked for Procter and Gamble Plant in Pineville, and served his community as a director of the Community Choir. Allen was an active member of the Nolley Memorial United Methodist Church of Jena. A memorial service honoring the life of Allen was held at 2 p.m., Monday, May 28, at Nolley Memorial United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Truman Stagg and Daniel Hixon officiating. The service included full military honors, and was under direction of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home of Jena. He was preceded in death by his father; and a niece, Sharon Lillian Bradford. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Constance Anne Lott, and mother, Helen Bliss Kendrick, both of Jena; a daughter, Allegra Nicole Kendrick of Des Moines, IA; son, Austin Immanuel Kendrick of Iowa City, IA; step-son, Mathew Elkins of Trout; one sister, Michele Bradford and husband Terry of Jena; brother, Bernard Kendrick and wife Stephanie of Central; two step-grandchildren, one nephew, three nieces, three great-nephews and five great-nieces. The family requests memorial donations be made in his memory to the Jena High Marching Band (through the JHS Band Boosters) or the Nolley Memorial UMC Chancel Choir.
