Twenty-nine LaSalle Parish

Twenty-nine LaSalle Parish 4-H youth, parents and volunteers took part in the fifteenth annual 4-H Day at the Capital on May 30, 2018. During the morning assembly at the AZ Young Park, youth were provided entertainment by the State 4-H Performing Arts Board. State 4-H Executive Board members led opening ceremonies.

Representative Terry Brown volunteered his time to give LaSalle 4-H members an in depth tour of the Capitol that included the history, background, and facts about the building, the statues, decorations and past events that had occurred. Brown lead LaSalle 4-H’ers to each house, the governor’s office floor, the observatory, and concluded the tour at the intended room for the Louisiana Supreme Court. To round out the trip, 4-Her’s explored the Louisiana Art and Science Museum.
