The unemployment rate for LaSalle Parish dropped slightly between March and April, with the number of people being employed in the parish rising by 48, according to figures just released by the Louisiana Workforce Commission.

The jobless rate for the parish in April was reported at 4.1 percent, down from 4.2 percent in March. In April, the number of people employed in the parish rose to 5,993, up from 5,945 in March.
