The annual “Back 2 School Giveaway”, hosted by the LaSalle Ministerial Alliance, was held on Monday night of last week and has been termed a huge success.

The event was staged at the Old Jena Elementary cafeteria in partnership with the A.P.P.L.E.S. program.

Almost 140 registered students and families received backpacks, school supplies, clothes, shoes, haircuts, burgers, and snow cones. In addition, a truck load of supplies was donated to local schools to help additional needy children.
