William Brett Cooper, 50, of Jena, passed from this life suddenly on Thursday August 16, 2018, in the Belah Community.

Brett, as he was affectionately known to all, was a mechanic in the automotive industry. He was an avid motorcycle rider and loved his bikes.

He was a “gentle giant” and had a great love for his family. He was an individual known by everyone in town. He will certainly be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 22, at Trinity Baptist Church near Jena with the Revs. Mike Russell and Johnnie Phillips officiating.

Interment will follow in the Summerville Baptist Church Cemetery in the Summerville Community under direction of Kinner and Stevens, Inc. of Jena.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Freddie and Gracie Ainsworth, and Henry and Polly Cooper.

Those left to cherish his memory and mourn his loss are his son, Ty Cooper of Jena; his father, Skeet Cooper of Jena; mother, Brenda Gail Johnston; step-mother, Roselea Cooper of Jena; special friend, Brenda Evans Warwick of Belah; one brother, Todd Cooper and wife Tabatha of Jena.
