An icon business, which dates back to the early oilfield days of this area and has a very colorful history, will be closing its doors forever in the very near future.

Charles O. Williams and Hank Cooksey, owners of Hayes Lumber Company of Jena, announced last week that the business will be permanently closing its doors following an inventory liquidation sale, which is now underway.
