LaSalle Tiger Quarterback Senior Cole Hendrix (20) hands off the ball to fellow Tiger Senior Brandon Johnson (10) in the downpour during the LaSalle vs. Delhi home game last week.
By Mark Richardson

The LaSalle Tigers fought the elements and the Delhi Bears last Friday night, sloshing their way to a 24-14 victory in the middle of a monsoon. Playing in weather better suited for ducks, the Tigers took the opening kickoff at their own 25 yard line. After a 22 yard run by Brandon Johnson and a 31 yard run by QB Cole Hendrix, Hendrix capped off the 5 play 75 yard drive with a 2 yard TD run 1:34 into the game. The extra point was a 3 yard pass from Hendrix to Tristan Gilliam and the Tigers led 8-0.
