The first row of books was moved to the new LaSalle Parish Library
The first row of books was moved to the new LaSalle Parish Library headquarters in downtown Jena early last week. The process of moving began on Monday of last week and Library Director Andrea Book says it will probably take the better part of three weeks to get all 88,000 books and other items, as well as furniture and equipment, moved into the new location. Patrons of the library are urged to be patient until the move is completed. Several programs have already been planned for the new facility, including the usual “Summer Story Hour” beginning in June.
