LaSalle Tigers fall in state semi-finals to Grand Lake last Friday

LaSalle Tiger Thorn Smith (10) gets a hit during the two-part LaSalle vs #2-ranked Grand Lake semi-final game in Sulphur. The game was delayed by extreme weather on Tuesday, May 11 and completed on Friday, May 14, resulting in a 6-0 loss to Grand Lake for #6-ranked LaSalle, ending their state championship run.

The LaSalle Tigers started a state semi-final game on Tuesday when the skies opened up and dumped lots of water on McMurray Park. The game was suspended in the bottom of the third inning with the Tigers trailing Grand Lake 2-0. The game would resume on Friday at 1 pm.
