The only surviving family of WWII Navy sailor and Good Pine native Lee Roy McDonnell arrived in Jena, April 28, to take possession of his medals that had been on display at the Jena Town Hall since 2017. WWII Medals finally “home” after 75 years
Over three years ago, WWII medals found discarded in California were brought to Jena where they have remained on display at the Jena Town Hall because family of the deceased-hero Navy sailor could not be located.
