Delcie “Jane” Mae Pritchard Jacobsen, 84, of Denham Springs, and a native of Archie, passed from this life on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 in Baton Rouge.

She was born September 19, 1936 in Archie to the union of her parents, Gove Alberta Pritchard and Lessie Valda Hanes Pritchard.

Jane was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church of Central. She worked as a switch board operator for the telephone company and she worked for Louisiana Farm Bureau for many years. She was loved by everyone who knew her and she will be missed by all.

Services were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 22, in the chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena with Rev. Mardy Guidry officiating.

Interment followed in the Pritchard Cemetery in Rhinehart under direction of Hixson Brothers, Inc. of Jena.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Jerry (Oogie) Pritchard, George Pritchard, Michael Pritchard, and Timothy Pritchard.

Those left to cherish in her memory include her husband of 59 years, William Jennings Jacobsen; her son, Jerry Wayne Jacobsen (Jodi); daughter, Debra Kim Langlois (Keith); brother, Gove Alberta “Buddy” Pritchard, Jr.; sisters, Jimmie Lea McClure, Mary Gibson, Willie Aline Smith, Carrie Jean LaPorte, Dorris Herring, Phyllis Estis, Dorothy “Polly” Cockerham, Jill Miller, and Kathy Sue Grimes; grandchildren, Ryan and Jared Langlois and Jacey Jacobsen; and great grandchildren, Joseph and Cameron Langlois.

Pallbearers were Jerry Jacobsen, Keith Langlois, Ryan Langlois, and Jared Langlois.
