Major Jena traffic jam…

Shortly before noon last Wednesday, June 30, a truck pulling a mobile home made an illegal turn in downtown Jena and got stuck, blocking traffic in all directions. The truck was headed north on LA 127 and tried to turn east onto US 84 at an intersection that is clearly marked as a non-truck turning intersection. The official truck route is a block south of US 84. John Cody Whittington of Doyline was cited by the Jena Police Department for improper turn – failure to use truck route. The intersection was cleared and traffic reopened shortly after noon freeing up the first of the year traffic jam in Jena.
