Jena street project should begin soon
East Bradford Street in Jena is one of several town streets that will be improved through the town’s roadway improvement project. Work on this street will include base course construction with an asphaltic concrete surface. Bids on the street project were received though Tuesday of this week, with work slated to begin in the near future. (See story)

Jena street project should begin soon

After months of planning and setting aside a half million dollars in their 2021 budget, Jena officials are on the verge of letting a contract for a street project in town. Jena Mayor LaDawn Edwards announced at the Council’s regular July meeting held Tuesday of last week, sealed bids would be accepted at the office of the town engineer in Ferriday until 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 13.
