Missy McEntyre, center, Homeless Liaison for the Title 1 program for the LaSalle Parish School Systems accepts a donation of $10,443 from Chris and Kim Finlay Poole to be used for the A.P.P.L.E.S. program to assist needed children during the school year. The funds were raised during the second annual Dirt Track Derby held in the Belah Community recently. McEntyre expressed thanks on behalf of the A.P.P.L.E.S. program for the sizeable donation from the Dirt Track Derby. Chris and Kim Poole express their thanks to all those who participated and supported the Derby. “Our family, friends, and community are the best. Small town life is the best life!” Kim stated.
