Giants take care of business at Buckeye; will play for district championship Friday

For the second week in a row, the Jena Giants defense shutout their opponent with gang tackling plays like this one featuring Jakobe Washington (99), Cadyn Elliott (43), and Andrew Sanders (32) during the district game against Buckeye last Friday night in Buckeye. Jena won the game 26-0, improved to 7-1 overall and 2-0 in district play, and prepares to take on the Marksville Tigers this Friday night in Jena for the District Championship. (See story.)

The Jena Giants traveled to Deville this past Friday night to take on the Buckeye Panthers in another district 3-3A contest. The Giants came in looking to stay unbeaten in district play while the Panthers came in looking to pick up their first district win.
