LaSalle 4-H’ers recently completed the Great Pumpkin Workshop on October 28, 2021, at the LaSalle Parish Courthouse in Jena. Several LaSalle Parish 4-H Jr. Leader members provided leadership, encouragement, and guidance for the younger members. Four-H’ers were provided instructions and worked in groups to create their very own pumpkin spice smoothie drinks. The conclusion of the workshop was the pumpkin carving. Four-H’ers learned about the different saws that could be used to carve, how to find the “face” on their pumpkins for optimal viewing and selecting the properly sized stencil to fit their pumpkins. Attending the Pumpkin Workshop included: Back row, Zoe Helton, Ren Kang, Terry Bowie, Peyton Oakes, Emere Gagne, Piper Campbell, Ava Hodges, Halie Butts, KaRissa Shell, Ceanna Benandi. Front Row: Cayda Willis, Emma Poole, and Cami Cockerham. Jr. Leaders conducting the workshop not pictured included Lynzee Bowie, Phaedra Dorsey, Chi Chi Achilefu, Casen Willis, Ashton Cockerham, and Camilyn Willis.
