On Monday of this week, the final Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes were loaded into trailers at First Baptist Church Jena headed to a distribution site in the Alexandria area. For many years, FBC Jena has served as LaSalle Parish’s collection site and last week was National Collection Week for the thousands of shoeboxes.
