“Bits and Pieces of LaSalle Parish”
The Jena Bottling Works was once located by the old ice plant owned by the King family. The bottling works closed in 1929. The man facing the camera is Walter Lowell King. The other man with his back to the camera is a Mr. Taylor, according to Mrs. Sylvia Cross King.

We have on display this week several receipts from an old business in Jena, which was owned and operated by the King family of Jena. Jena Bottling Works was one of the early businesses of “New Jena” and was located near the old ice plant where the AT&T store is presently located.
