I have been submitting articles to newspapers since the mid 90’s, when the late David Ryan called me and asked me to write a weekly article for his new venture Catahoula Life. Hesitant at first, I finally agreed to help fill a spot for him, and discovered that I was happy to do it. David had a wonderful paper, informative, great coverage on schools and school sports, good opinion pieces, just an overall good publication.
