Dorothy Trippe Roberts, 92, of Urania, passed from this life on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at her residence. She was born July 23, 1929 in Collinston, LA to the union of her parents, Forrest Trippe and Norma Kelly Trippe.

Dorothy Trippe Roberts, 92, of Urania, passed from this life on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at her residence.

She was born July 23, 1929 in Collinston, LA to the union of her parents, Forrest Trippe and Norma Kelly Trippe.

Dorothy was a member of Urania First Baptist Church where she and her husband were active with the youth in their younger years. She enjoyed working puzzles and gardening. She loved to cook and sew for her family.

As a seamstress, she was a perfectionist. She could whip up an outfit overnight and made perfect little Barbie clothes. Her family was the most important thing in the world to her. She loved them dearly. She will be forever missed but will live on in their hearts.

A private funeral service to celebrate her life was held Saturday, Jan. 8, at the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Olla with Rev. Bo Prather officiating.

Interment followed in the Urania Cemetery in Urania under direction of Riser Funeral Home of Olla.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J.F. “Mutt” Roberts; and her brother, Ralph Trippe.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Denise Cross (Doug) and Donna Eubanks (Johnny); sister, Elizabeth Trippe Meyer; grandchildren, Amanda N. Cross, Justin K. Eubanks (Jessica), John D. Cross, and Hunter C. Eubanks (Grace); great-grandchildren, Braden Orgeron, Madelyn Orgeron, Kinsley Eubanks, and Easton Eubanks; beloved caregivers, Jasmyne Roberson, Sandy Morgan, Edna Leger, and Dell Cruse.

Pallbearers were Justin Eubanks, John Cross, Braden Orgeron, Hunter Eubanks, Doug Cross, and Johnny Eubanks.

Honorary pallbearers included David Bryant, Mike Trippe, Bill Kelly, Jim Cuthbert, and the Urania “Knot Heads.”

The family requests any planned memorials be made to Urania First Baptist Church Building Fund or the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home in Monroe.
