The Jena Giants only played one game this past week due to COVID regulations as they played the Caldwell Spartans on the road last Tuesday night, January 25. The Giants were scheduled to play Marksville on Friday night but the game was postponed due to the Giants not having enough players available to play due to illness.

The Giants were scheduled to play Marksville on Friday night but the game was postponed due to the Giants not having enough players available to play due to illness.
On Tuesday the Giants would struggle to start as Caldwell would jump out to a 20-4 lead going into the second quarter. Caldwell would continue to outscore the Giants in the second quarter as they would take a 38-11 lead into halftime.
In the third quarter, Demariyon Hammock would try to lead the Giants on a comeback as he made three 3-point shots in the quarter but it wouldn’t be enough as Caldwell would go on to win 61-28.
In the game for the Giants, Hammock would finish with 13 points, Sincere Smith had nine points and Ja’Mikal Cooper had four points.
This week the Giants will be at home on Tuesday as the Grant Cougars come to town and will be back home next Tuesday, February 8, playing the Caldwell Spartans.
