Local youths win Jiu-Jitsu awards

Three LaSalle Parish youth won multiple awards for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at an American Grappling Federation competition at the Shreveport Civic Center in Shreveport on January 22. Eleven-year-old Laurel Pugh, eleven-year-old Emre Ashley and ten-year-old Jaxen Lisenby compete for Gracie United Jena and train at Victory Gym in Jena and between the three of them won seven medals in gi and no gi (competing without wearing their official gi or kimono).
