Despite a very low voter turnout, voters in District 5 & 6 of the LaSalle Parish Police Jury overwhelmingly approved millage renewals during the election held last Saturday. The jury had two, 10 year, 10-mill tax propositions on the March 26 ballot, one for District 5 and one for District 6, for the purpose of purchasing equipment, equipment upkeep, road and bridge construction, drainage and road maintenance.
