Jena High senior Tori Shirley reads “The Cat in the Hat” to Teacher Rebekah Russell’s Kindergarten class last week as part of the school’s Read Across America Celebration in honor of the birthday of famed children’s author Dr. Seuss. Each year, local government officials, business owners and other volunteers come in and read books at the school.
