Every Wednesday morning at 10:30 I preach at West Monroe Guest House, which is a nursing and rehab facility. Naturally, most all of those who attend are older than I am. This is the generation who love to sing the old hymns and grew up on hard preaching. This past Wednesday I preached on Joshua and the challenge he made to the Hebrews when he challenged them to choose who they were to serve. The gods of Egypt or the one true God Jehovah. He declared his choice when he said, “As for me and my house we will serve the Lord.”
