Jena Giant pitcher and recent JHS graduate Nathen Paul was chosen by the Louisiana Baseball Coaches Association (LBCA) All-Region for their Region 3 team. The team was in name only and featured the LBCA’s top Region 3 baseball players with Paul as the sole LaSalle Parish honoree. Region 3 includes the parishes of Ouachita, Morehouse, West Carroll, Richland, Caldwell, Franklin, LaSalle, Catahoula and Concordia. Nathen is the son of Duane Paul of Jena and Tammy Mcgovney of Big Bend, Texas. In April, he signed a letter of intent to play baseball for John Melvin University in Crowley.
