Author/illustrator Ariane Trammell from Ponchatoula reads her picture book, “When I Grow Up…I Want to Be Me!” to local children last week in Olla as part of the LaSalle Parish Library’s Summer Reading Program at the LaSalle Parish Libraries in Jena and Olla. Trammell is from Ponchatoula and is an artist, storyteller, children’s book author and illustrator of books such as Where the Grass is Always Greener, Run! Boudin, Run!, Cicada’s Song and Couillon the Crawfish. She is also a talented musician. The Friday program was provided in collaboration with the McKinney-Vento Foundation.
