Charles Boyd was many things to many people. To some he was an icon of Jena, to others he was just a local character. He was the Egg Man, Football coach, Wedding Photographer, Scuba Diver, Parish Jail Sunday school teacher, Church Deacon, Lay Witness Minister, and Powered Parachute Tootsie Roll bomber. He loved people and would talk to anyone at any time. Anyone who spent more than five minutes with him soon learned he had a wicked sense of humor. People have often stopped me in the street and while out shopping with stories and fond memories of something he said or did. I am sure many of you have yours.
