LIBRARY PROGRAM WAS A HUGE SUCCESS

The “Spoon Man” Jim Cruise (right) and his volunteer mountain band (left to right) Drew Taylor, Christian Cockerham and Eliza Barber play spoons, a rub board and a shaker last week during his show in Jena for the LaSalle Parish Library’s Summer Reading Program at the LaSalle Parish Libraries in Jena and Olla. Cruise is a musical interactive comedian and author based out of Michigan with over 35 years experience performing all over the United States. He offers a hilarious interactive comedy program for all ages that includes outrageous impressions such as heavy metal and rap spoon players and a combination of Glen Miller and Elvis as well as an audience sing-along competition and more. The Friday programs and Wednesday program were provided in collaboration with the McKinney-Vento Foundation.
