Art instructor Kim Aldrich assists local students with their drawings during the #thrive Arts Painting & Drawing Summer Camp held last month at Recreation District 22 Center in Olla. Students learned about drawing and painting with watercolor and acrylics. The Strand Village Project #thrive offered six free summer camps in art and technology for LaSalle Parish youth in 6th to 12th grades over the summer including instruction in painting, creative writing, theatre, 3D printing, engineering design, music, calligraphy and more.
