As a youngster growing up around lots of relatives I heard plenty of old sayings from my parents, aunts, uncles, cousins and grandmother but I never paid any attention to them. Now that I am older, it’s time to reflect on these old sayings and determineif they are true. The first old saying is “a stitch in time saves nine.” True. I proved this two years ago when my pickup truck seat tore, my wife handed me a needle and thread and it’sstill holding today.“You shouldn’t putthe cart before the horse.” True. Horses pull much better than they push.
