The Town of Urania Council approved two resolutions for the Community Water Enrichment Fund (CWEF) grant and the Local Government Assistance Program (LGAP) grant during their regular meeting last week. Acting Mayor Pat McDougald explained about Resolution 2022-06 that the CWEF grant application is to continue laying water lines until they reach the water treatment plant. Regarding the LGAP, he said Resolution 2022-07 is an application to fund needed equipment for the police department including handheld radar, two in-car radar units and a radar speed display sign along with other equipment.
