Third annual Dirt Track Derby deemed a success

The third annual Dirt Track Derby was held in Belah on September 17 with a large crowd attending which saw thousands of dollars raised for worthy projects. Those in attendance not only enjoyed the races but had great food and nice weather. “Through the generous donations of everyone, we raised over $40,000 for the La-Salle Parish APPLES program. We still have raffle tickets to sell, so there is still money coming in,” stated event organizer Kim Poole, who along with her husband, Chris, hosted the event on their property. “We are completely blown away at raising this much. We have the best family!”
