Baton Rouge, La. This week, the Louisiana Office of Student Financial Assistance provided important information regarding the Geaux Teach Scholarship Program to colleges and alternative teacher certification providers. This scholarship program was established in Act 463 of the 2022 Regular Session of the Louisiana Legislature to provide additional funding to qualified students who are enrolled in teacher preparation programs approved by the Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE) at postsecondary education institutions within the state. Funding is also available to students attending certified alternative teacher preparation programs approved by BESE.
