Jena Band of Choctaw elects new tribal chief
The Jena Band of Choctaw Indians (JBOC) elected a new chief on October 22 along with a new Tribal Council member and the re-election of a Tribal Council member. The JBOC holds elections every two years, which staggers voting in Tribal Council members. This year, the election was for Tribal Chief and two Tribal Council seats.
