LaSalle 4-H Pumpkin Workshop…

LaSalle 4-H’ers recently completed the Great Pumpkin Workshop on October 27, 2022, at the LaSalle Parish Courthouse in Jena. Several LaSalle Parish 4-H Jr. Leader members provided leadership, encouragement, and guidance for the younger members. Four-H’ers were provided instructions and worked in groups to create their very own “Walking Hotdog Mummies.” The conclusion of the workshop was the pumpkin carving. Four-H’ers learned about the different saws that could be used to carve, how to find the “face” on their pumpkins for optimal viewing and selecting the properly sized stencil to fit their pumpkins. Attending the Pumpkin Workshop included: Emilee Elliott, Abrianna Walters, Ceanna Benandi, Cayda Willis, David Chapman, Kharis Bowen, Emma Windham, Zane Rutledge, Dakota Hathorn, Valcom Patten, Aubree Smith, Zoe Helton, Alyssa Bird, Milah Norris, Chazz Jordan, Aaliyah Morvant, Aria Smith, Bailee Kelly, Maddox Gresham, and Elizabeth Gresham. Four-H Jr. Leader members assisting with the Pumpkin Workshop included Casen Willis, Grace Gresham, Cassidie Waits, Phaedra Dorsey, Seth Richard, and Camilyn Willis. For more information about 4-H and other youth development programs, or if you are interested in serving as a volunteer, contact your local Cooperative Extension Service at (318) 992-2205. It is the policy of the Louisiana Cooperative Extension Service that no person shall be subjected to discrimination on the ground of race, color, national origin, gender, religion, age or disability.
