If you were born between 1946 and 1964 in the United States, like me you are a baby boomer. The depression was over and so was World War II. People were able to get a job during this period so they married and started families. After 1964 the prosperity continued a period of rapid economic growth that set in and continued for many years. Then factories started closing and many jobs were sent overseas. The government started borrowing money at an unprecedented rate and today we are deeply in debt with no plan to fix this. The money that was borrowed to take care of our every need has mortgaged the future of the next several generations.
