LaSalle General Hospital hosted the Community Connect Event last month sponsored by Delta Regional Community Health System Development Program (DRCHSDP). With the support of the Delta Regional Authority (DRA) and the Health Resources Services Administration’s Federal Office of Rural Health Policy, the National Rural Health Resource Center provides selected rural health care organizations and their communities with technical assistance through the program. The purpose of the program is to assist leaders and providers in identifying and addressing health care needs while strengthening the local health care system. To further the purpose, the program is to make indepth health system enhancements and to position eligible health care organizations and their communities for population health.
